Salah is the name given to the Muslim prayer in Islam. It is an Arabic word with root meaning “supplication”. The chief purpose of prayer in Islam is a person’s communication with God. Muslims worship, thank and praise God, acknowledge His sovereignty and pray to Him through Salah. Salah is practiced by Muslims around the globe. This practice unites them together. They assemble in front of God in complete harmony irrespective of their cultural bases, colour, race, casts and social status.
In Pakistan, Muslims gather in a mosque five times a day to offer their daily prayer. Muslims start and end their day with the name of God by performing Salah at sunrise (Fajr prayer) and around nightfall (Isha prayer) respectively. It is a wonderful and heart warming practice which develops love for God in their hearts, submission of their wills to God and peace and symphony in the society. Salah tenders their heart and establishes fear of God keeping people away from ill doings. Salah is performed after performing wadhu (an act to perform cleanliness). Thus Salah develops love for Allah, togetherness, friendship, peace, social welfare and reinforces the bonds of brotherhood.

Salams,
A nice post to read, thank you. As muslims we must remember that Islam teaches us many different qualities and aspects of our lives, but that we must also work to improve ourselves. A small change in ourselves can lead to a big change if others appreciate our efforts and follow.
Many Thanks.
Wasalam.
