In the Indian state of Maharashtra there is a very dangerous and crazy tradition of child throwing for the past 500 years. The parents throw their new born from the height of a 50 feet tall tower or building. The child is taken to the top of the building and thrown down on a sheet. They parents proudly throw down their child with strong belief that the practice of this ritual blesses their child with good health, luck, courage and strength for life.
